Enhancing Licit Livelihoods in Northern Afghanistan

The Aga Khan Foundation Canada will support projects in the provinces of Badakhshan and Takhar through Enhancing Licit Livelihoods in Northern Afghanistan (ELLONA,) as well as targeted basic skills training for non-governmental organizations in the South. ELLONA, set up by the Aga Khan Foundation—Afghanistan (AKF-A), will generate sustainable improvements in the socio-economic position of rural populations in northeastern Afghanistan by strengthening human and institutional development at community, district, and national levels and by promoting job-oriented economic opportunities.
