The Emergency Preparedness and Response for Afghanistan Project, which CARE Canada manages and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) funds, will assist 2,000 households (or roughly 12,000 persons) afflicted by natural disasters. It will do so by providing them with emergency shelter, and essential durable and consumable non-food items, such as blankets, jerry cans, and kitchen utensils.
