Afghanistan National Disaster Management Infrastructure and Training in Kandahar

This project is implemented by Tearfund, a British-based non-governmental organization (NGO) specializing in disaster risk reduction and one of the only international NGOs active in the province of Kandahar. The goal of the project is to improve the capacity of a community called Loya Wala as well as that of the provincial government to prepare for, mitigate, and respond to disasters. It will benefit 18,000 people in Loya Wala and will provide training to 40 government officials from the southern region of Afghanistan.
