Afghanistan has been severely affected by the increase in food prices and a drought across the country. The Government of Afghanistan and the United Nations have prepared an emergency appeal to respond to the crisis. CIDA’s contribution to the appeal is managed by UNICEF and is used to address the needs of people afflicted in the province Kandahar, particularly in the sectors of nutrition, water, sanitation, and hygiene.
