Technical Briefing on Afghanistan
On Wednesday, November 26, 2008, the Honourable Stockwell Day, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway and Chair of Canada’s Cabinet Committee on Afghanistan, will provide an overview of the Government of Canada’s second quarterly report on progress made toward achieving Canada’s objectives for its engagement in Afghanistan through 2011.
Senior representatives from the Afghanistan Task Force, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, the Canadian International Development Agency, and the Department of National Defence will provide a background technical briefing in advance of the Minister’s availability.
