Minister Cannon to Meet with Canada’s Ambassador to Afghanistan
The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will meet with Canada’s Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Ron Hoffmann, in Ottawa on November 12, 2008.
Minister Cannon and Ambassador Hoffmann will discuss a number of issues, including the delivery of Canada’s six priorities in Afghanistan. Minister Cannon will also convey to the Ambassador his personal congratulations to all Canadian officials, in Ottawa and abroad, who participated in the recent successful release from captivity of Canadian journalist Mellissa Fung.
Before their meeting, the Minister and the Ambassador will hold a photo opportunity.
